Tropical forests are irreplaceable.
We at M-GUITARS have long known that the tropical rainforests deserve unconditional protection. The massive deforestation of the rainforests not only leads to the extinction of species of countless plants and animals, but ultimately to the greatest catastrophe in the history of humanity. Because the guitar industry likes to use tropical woods, such as mahogany and rosewood, they also contribute to the destruction of the rainforest.
Tropical forests can not be replaced, but tropical woods are. As a young company, we want to oppose the tradition of the guitar industry and only use native wood species in the production of our guitars. Our experience has shown that the regional wood, imported woods in quality and appearance in no way inferior. Last but not least, we have one of the world's largest deposits of mountain maple on our doorstep. The mountain maple is sourced directly from the Bavarian and Tyrolean Alps.
Der Ahornboden im Naturschutzgebiet Karwendel mit seinen bis zu 600 Jahre alten Bäumen zeigt, welche Schätze unsere Berge beheimaten. Um dieses Landschaftsbild zu bewahren, stellen wir uns gerne der Herausforderung, auch bei der Verwendung einheimischer Hölzer, verantwortungsvoll und bedacht mit den gegebenen Ressourcen umzugehen.
